Charlotte's Interior Painting Specialist
Interior painting is the single most impactful cosmetic improvement you can make to a Charlotte home — and the most unforgiving when it's done wrong. Bad prep, the wrong sheen, uneven coverage, or paint lines that waver where wall meets ceiling: these things are invisible in a contractor's portfolio photos and obvious in your home every single day.
M.A. Painting LLC has been delivering professional interior painting services across Charlotte since 2017. We work throughout Myers Park, Ballantyne, SouthPark, Dilworth, Weddington, Marvin, Matthews, and every neighborhood in between — at every price point from entry-level to estate.
Here's how we approach interior painting differently.
Our Interior Painting Process
Step 1 — Prep. Seriously.
Ninety percent of a paint job's quality comes from preparation. We move and protect furniture. We patch holes, fill nail pops, and caulk gaps at trim and corners. We sand glossy surfaces for proper adhesion. We apply primer wherever the substrate needs it — not just where it's convenient. This is the work most contractors skip to save time. We don't skip it.
Step 2 — Right product for the surface.
Living rooms and dining rooms get Sherwin-Williams Emerald Matte — exceptional hide, washable, and a depth of finish that makes walls look intentional. Kitchens and bathrooms get Emerald semi-gloss or Cashmere low-lustre — moisture-resistant and scrubbable. Ceilings get flat white unless you've specified otherwise. Trim and doors get semi-gloss throughout.
We always use the right product for the space. We'll tell you exactly what we're applying and why before we start.
Step 3 — Clean execution.
Our crew works methodically — one room at a time, protecting adjacent surfaces. We cut in by hand before rolling. We don't overspray and tape away the mess. Two finish coats on all wall surfaces. Three on trim. We catch our own touch-ups before you see them.
Step 4 — Final walkthrough together.
Before we pack up, you walk the job with us. You point out anything that doesn't meet your expectations and we address it before we leave. Not "we'll send someone next week." Before we leave.
Interior Painting Services We Offer in Charlotte
Full home interior repaints — Complete wall, ceiling, trim, and door painting throughout. Our most popular service for homeowners in Ballantyne, SouthPark, and Weddington preparing to sell or simply refreshing after several years.
Room-by-room painting— You don't have to do everything at once. We work by the room or by the floor if that fits your timeline and budget better.
Accent walls and feature walls — A single well-executed accent wall can transform a room. We can advise on placement and color, or execute your existing vision.
Ceiling painting— Popcorn ceilings, smooth ceilings, tray ceilings, coffered ceilings — we handle all ceiling types including the tricky vaulted ceilings common in Charlotte's newer construction.
Trim, doors, and crown molding — We handle all interior millwork painting: baseboards, door casings, window trim, crown molding, chair rail, and wainscoting. Trim work is where a paint job goes from good to great.
Cabinet painting — Kitchen and bathroom cabinet painting using bonding primer and spray-applied topcoats for a factory-smooth finish. This service alone transforms how a home feels.
